Rugged Computers
Rugged computers may also be called heavy duty computers or tough computers. They are computers that are built to withstand tough and demanding conditions. They might be used for outdoor sporting events (such as the computer shown in the picture above) for timing or preparing results, or they may be used as part of a scientific expedition or fieldwork. They might also be used in garages or factories which have a rough or harsh environment. There are many situations where a rugged computer would be an essential tool.
We design and build the computer to your own specification. We can make systems that can be run off generators or from a battery for a short time. Systems are built into strong flight cases which can be closed completely to transport them safely. When necessary we can mount hard disks and other components in gel to provide shock protection, and mountings can be cushioned for additional protection. Where heat is a consideration there are various ways in which extra cooling can be achieved. We will listen to your requirements and come back with bespoke systems that are built with care and attention to detail. These are not a standard off the shelf, one size fits all, solution, this is a carefully designed answer to your requirements. We will also maintain and service your rugged computer.
What about price? Well obviously these come in at a great deal more than an off the shelf machine, but you will be surprised how competitive our charge is.

There are few firms that specialise in building rugged computers to requirements, and so our bespoke systems are very valuable.
